September sees the rise of wedding season in the South (the summer is just too hot and we’ll be having dry, hot weather through October). As someone from the North, fall weddings have always evoked a sense of coziness and cool temperatures - yielding dress choices that involve velvet, black lace, and jewel tones to compliment the overcast skies and changing leaves. But down South, since the temperatures can still reach 90 degrees, these options just doesn’t seem appropriate (or comfortable)!

I just got back from my Fourth of July weekend trip to New York and am excited to share my travel guide for summer in the city and out east on Long Island/The Hamptons. Those that know me know I grew up in New York, so I am lucky for the opportunity to travel back there for what I think is the best season of the year.
